Purpose: This agreement outlines the understanding between Epic Realms Media (“Epic Realms”) and the undersigned Contributor regarding the voluntary submission of written or creative content for publication on the Epic Realms website, social channels, or related media.
1. Volunteer Status
The Contributor acknowledges that all participation is voluntary and unpaid. The Contributor is not an employee, agent, or contractor of Epic Realms and will not be entitled to compensation, employment benefits, or future guarantees of paid work.
2. Content Ownership and Rights
The Contributor retains ownership of their original work. By submitting content to Epic Realms, the Contributor grants Epic Realms a non-exclusive, perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to publish, edit for clarity or length, and promote the submitted content on any Epic Realms platform, including but not limited to the Epic Realms website, social media, newsletters, and promotional materials.
The Contributor may republish their work elsewhere, provided that Epic Realms is credited as the original place of publication when applicable. The Contributor waives any moral rights in the submitted content, including the right to object to edits, modifications, or the context in which the work appears, provided such use is lawful and consistent with this agreement.
3. Editorial Rights
Submitting this form or any content does not guarantee that the work will be published on the Epic Realms website or any Epic Realms platform.
Epic Realms reserves the right to review, edit, or decline any submission at its discretion. Minor edits for grammar, readability, or formatting may be made without prior approval. Substantial changes will be discussed with the Contributor before publication when possible.
4. Contributor Responsibilities
The Contributor affirms that submitted content is original and does not infringe on copyrights, trademarks, or the intellectual property rights of others.
The Contributor agrees not to submit AI-generated or plagiarized material.
The Contributor agrees that opinions expressed in their work are their own and do not necessarily reflect those of Epic Realms Media.
5. Indemnification
The Contributor agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Epic Realms Media, its owners, affiliates, and representatives from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorney’s fees) arising out of or related to the Contributor’s submitted content or any breach of this agreement.
6. Termination
Either party may end this volunteer relationship at any time. Upon request, Epic Realms will remove or archive the Contributor’s work, except in cases where it has already been distributed or published externally.
7. Acknowledgment
By submitting content or checking the box below, the Contributor acknowledges that they have read and understood this agreement, and agree to the terms outlined above.
